Requirements for the Environmental Science Major

AUM Core Curriculum (Refer to the University Core for specific requirements) (40 hours)

Area I. Written Composition (6 hours)

University Success (3 hours)

Area II. Humanities and Fine Arts (Minimum of 12 hours)

One of the courses must be a University core communication course*

Area III. Natural Science and Mathematics (Minimum of 12 hours)

Cellular and Molecular Basis of Life AND Organisms, Adaptations, and the Environment with laboratories (8 hours)

MATH 1050 or higher (4 hours)

Area IV. History, Social Sciences and Behavioral Sciences (Minimum of 12 hours)

Area V. Biology and Support Course

Environmental Science Seminars (1 hours)

Earth Science (4 hours)

Chemistry Courses (16 hours)

Biostatistics (3 hours)

Microbiology, Ecology, Environmental Pollution and Control, Capstone (15 hours)

GIS (12 hours)

ENSC 3000 or higher (4 hours)

ENSC, GEOG, CHEM, BIOL 3000 or higher, 3 with lab (15 hours)
