Auburn University at Montgomery is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. College of Business

  • Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), 2021–2026, includes the College of Business’ undergraduate (BSBA), graduate (MBA, MHA, and MSMIS) programs, and discipline-specific accreditation in Accounting (BSBA in Accounting and MAcc) with its last site visit February 2019.

College of Education

  • Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), 2021–2028, includes teacher preparation programs at all levels.

  • Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), 2018-2026, includes Master of Counseling Education in the fields of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling; Last visit was October 14-17, 2018

  • National Association for the Education of Young Children includes Early Childhood Education for Class A, M.Ed.

  • National Council of Teachers of English includes Secondary English Language Arts for Class A, M.Ed.

  • National Council of Teachers of English includes Secondary English Language Arts for Class B, Bachelors

  • National Association for Sport and Physical Education includes Physical Education for Class A, M.Ed.

  • National Association for Sport and Physical Education includes Physical Education for Class B, Bachelors

College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences

  • Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA), 2021-2028, includes the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences Master of Public Administration. The MPA program’s current seven-year accreditation ends August 31, 2028.

  • Council on Social Work Education, in candidacy and approved, includes the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences’ Bachelor of Social Work.

  • American Bar Association, approval through 2029, Interim report due January 2025.  ABA-Approved Programs: Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, Legal Studies Concentration; and Minor in Legal Studies. Students may earn an ABA-approved paralegal certificate in both programs.

College of Nursing and Health Sciences

  • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 2022-2032. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing/master’s degree program in nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice program at AUM are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org).

  • National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 2020-2030, includes the College of Nursing & Health Sciences’ Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science. Last site visit was in September 2019 and the MLS program was awarded 10-year accreditation, April 2020.
