Office of the Dean of Students

The Division of Student Affairs encompasses the areas of student involvement and leadership, counseling services, services for students with disabilities, career development resources, Greek life, international student activities, student accountability and advocacy, diversity and inclusion, orientation, a Global Education Center, over 60 student organizations, and much more. Details about programs and organizations can be found in the AUM General Student Handbook.

Student Conduct

Each student, by act of registration, agrees to conform to all rules and regulations of the university. Students are expected to conduct themselves as good citizens by obeying the laws of the United States, the State of Alabama, the City of Montgomery and the university. Enrollment as a student in no way exempts any person from penalty in case of violation of local, state or national laws. The Student Discipline Code can be found in the AUM General Student handbook.

AUM General Student Handbook

The AUM General Student Handbook applies to all AUM students. It provides students with information about AUM Traditions, Athletics and intramurals, student resources, dining, housing, and clubs and organizations. This handbook also contains the University's social regulations including, but not limited to the following: Accommodations for Disabilities, University Alcohol Policy, Anti-Hazing, Appropriate Use of Information Technology, Campus Safety, Civil Rights, Classroom Behavior, Complaint Procedures, Emergency/Disaster Preparedness, Equal Opportunity, Dangerous Weapons and Firearm Policy, Discrimination & Harassment Policy, Drug-Free Campus and Workplace Policy, Smoking/Vaping Policy, Student Discipline Code, and Title IX.
