Environmental Science, BS

The Environmental Science degree prepares students for careers in the environment, geographic information systems, and employment in a number of jobs in the government and industry. These concentrations are also preparatory for competitive admission to professional programs and graduate school. Students selecting this degree may be eligible after their freshman year for a cooperative education program. This program allows students to obtain work experience in their field while continuing their education. In a typical work experience program, a student is paid by the employment agency, such as the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
