CONCENTRATION: Photography

I. AUM Core Curriculum and UNIV Requirements (44 hours)

All students pursuing a BFA in Art with a concentration in Ceramics, Graphic Design, Painting and Drawing, Photography, or Sculpture must complete the AUM Core Curriculum and UNIV requirements. Fine Arts students are required to take COMM 1010 Introduction to Human Communication, either as a humanities requirement or as an elective.

II. Foundation                                                                                                                        

All BFA students must successfully complete the following Foundation Courses:

VISU 1102 Two-Dimensional Design and VISU 1132 Three-Dimensional Design

VISU 1112 Beginning Drawing and VISU 1122 Intermediate Drawing

ARTH 2030 Art History I and ARTH 2040 Art History II

VISU 2002 Portfolio Review

Total Hours: 19

 

Photography Concentration

Students in the Photography concentration complete the above Core Curriculum, UNIV, and departmental Foundation courses, as well as the following concentration specific classes:

I.     Upper-Level Art History

VISU 3000-4000 WI Art History Electives (6 hours)

II.   Concentration

VISU 2812 Beginning Photography

VISU 3612 Intermediate Photography

VISU 2832 Advanced Photography

VISU 4010 History of Photography

COMM 3760 Video Production I and COMM 3763 Video Production II

VISU 4982 Senior Project
